Headline: Friends & Gigs
------------------------------
Greetings & Salutations!

It's good to have friends. I know that I've hit on this topic a few times recently, but it bears repeating.

That's the thing I'm going to take away most from this week's gig at Liquid Joe's: looking out into the crowd and seeing so many familiar faces, people who took the time out of their lives on a Tuesday night not just to divert themselves with whatever, but specifically to come and see us play. And being able to take some time to chat and bond with most of them afterwards was as rewarding an experience as performing the show itself. Some were folks that I see on a regular basis, some were the longest of long-lost, and some occupy a space in between, but all are loved and appreciated for their presence and support.

Plus I managed to get through the set without coughing up a lung, collapsing on stage, or missing too many notes. As I would find out later, Matt was having an even worse night than me (I was on the upswing from my unpleasantness, while he was still spiraling downward) but it didn't show on stage. Game-day players, we. Good times!

So, thanks to everyone who showed, and everyone who sent support via e-mail even though they couldn't actually make it to the club. Thanks also to Liquid Joe's for having us...it was the first time we've played there in a non-Floyd capacity for several years, and that opportunity was something special in and of itself.

Fozz & Juli each took a bunch of pics. Some of them are up on the Official Site right now, some are in transit. Stay tuned.

Looking ahead ...I was hoping to be able to stage a gig on or near my birthday this year, but I dawdled a bit with the actual booking and now it's looking unlikely. Disappointing, yeah, but I have no one but myself to blame. So, it's back to focusing my energy on recording for the next little while. I'll be back with a report about those goings-on shortly...
